How Do I Join?

Membership in Alpha Delta Phi is by invitation only. Candidates must be males who are attending University of Toronto or other select institutions of higher learning in the Toronto area. We are looking for Brothers who are interested in developing a well-rounded character through unforgettable experiences, responsibility, leadership, and shared traditions.

First, fill in the form at the bottom of the page for us to contact you or just come by to hang out at the house to find out more. Rush, in the first month of the school year, is the best time to meet the brothers and others who are also interested in seeing what it’s all about and the Fraternity community is full of fun events. And when you meet the Brothers and like what you see, you might be offered to pledge the Fraternity.

How does it work?

Like many Fraternities, the Brothers of the Fraternity offer a group of select individuals pledgeship (a temporary associate membership) in Alpha Delta Phi. In the first two months of the school year, pledges are required to attend a few short classes teaching them about the history and traditions of the Fraternity. If the Active Chapter feels the candidate is genuinely interested in and prepared for membership, they are chosen for membership in Alpha Delta Phi. We do not conduct or tolerate hazing, excessive drinking or dangerous behaviour of any other kind during pledgeship or at any other time.

How much does it cost?

Members are required to pay modest initiation and annual dues, a few hundred dollars per year, to cover administration of our International body, pay for insurance of the House and fund various social and philanthropic events throughout the school year.

What do I get from joining your Fraternity?

By being a Brother, you develop lifelong friendships with a diverse group of fellow students, past, present, and future. Many Brothers live in our enormous, Victorian-era mansion, conveniently located only a single block from campus and a two minute walk to the St. George subway stop, for a lower cost than residence or off-campus housing. Our scholarships provide new and existing members with financial incentives for leadership and academic achievements.

By being a part of one of the longest running and most distinguished Fraternity on campus, you will meet Brothers who provide like-minded friendships from diverse backgrounds. You also share a proud history and tradition with over a thousand Alumni of our Chapter and 50,000 Alpha Delts worldwide and, as is the case with every member, you are given the opportunity to be a leader of the future of the organization.
